Terms of Service

1. Service Description

OpenCronAPI ("we", "us", "our") provides a distributed HTTP cron scheduling service that allows customers to schedule and execute HTTP requests (webhooks) on a defined schedule. Our infrastructure runs across a distributed network of global nodes to ensure reliability and redundancy.

By using our service at opencronapi.com or via our API at api.opencronapi.com, you agree to these Terms of Service in their entirety.

2. Acceptable Use

You may use OpenCronAPI only for lawful purposes. The following are strictly prohibited:

• Scheduling requests to private IP ranges (10.x.x.x, 192.168.x.x, 127.x.x.x, ::1, or any RFC 1918 address)
• Sending spam, unsolicited communications, or bulk messages through third-party services
• Distributing malware, exploiting vulnerabilities, or engaging in denial-of-service attacks
• Using the service for any illegal activity under applicable law
• Circumventing rate limits or plan restrictions through technical means
• Sharing your API credentials or allowing unauthorized third parties to use your account

We reserve the right to immediately suspend accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.

3. Account Terms

• One account per individual or organization. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits is prohibited.
• You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and API keys.
• You must be at least 16 years of age to use the service.
• Accounts must be verified via email before full access is granted.

4. Payment Terms

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis. All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.

• Refund policy: We do not issue refunds for partial months or unused periods. If you downgrade or cancel mid-cycle, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
• Prices are listed in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes in your jurisdiction.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
• Accounts with failed payments will be downgraded to the Free plan after a 7-day grace period.

5. Service Level & Uptime

We target high availability for paid plans (Starter and above). For the Free plan, no uptime guarantee is provided — the service is offered on a best-effort basis.

Scheduled maintenance windows will be announced in advance via our status page at opencronapi.com/status.

We are not responsible for failures caused by your endpoint being unreachable, returning errors, or timing out.

6. Data Retention

Execution logs are retained according to your plan:

• Free: 7 days
• Starter: 30 days
• Pro: 90 days
• Business: 365 days
• Enterprise: Unlimited (custom)

Upon account deletion, all data including jobs, executions, and user information is permanently removed within 30 days.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• Your account is used for abusive or illegal activities
• Payment fails and is not resolved within the grace period

You may cancel your account at any time from the billing page in the Console. Upon cancellation, your data will remain accessible until the end of the current billing period.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, OpenCronAPI and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities.

Our total liability for any claim arising under these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic and the European Union. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Czech Republic, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify active subscribers by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
